As you can see there is only four movies that have done this so far this year and three of them are movies based off of marvel comic books. These three marvel comic book movies were all made by three different movie studios. The actually Marvel movie studio is owned by The Walt Disney Company but does not own the rights to use Spider-Man and X-Men Mutants in there movies. On the other hand Maleficent is a remake of a movie based on a fairy tale.
